Perched above Samish Bay, it’s home to around 203 residents, according to the 2020 census. Originally settled in 1869 and called Brownsville—named after pioneer William J. Brown—the town later adopted the name “Bow” after the railway station in London, following the arrival of the railroad that sparked local growth.
